Have you ever discovered a small locally owned restaurant that is slightly off the beaten path? Well, in my opinion, I found Fig & Olive. (See Map).
Loraine Roth is the proud owner and chef of Fig & Olive. They specialize in Turkish & Mediterranean cuisine for the most part.
As you can see, I ordered the Lamb shish Kabob and Rice with tzatziki sauce and a Pita on the side. The marinated meat was subtle and not overpowering the meat. The rice light is perfectly fluffy. I highly recommend that you all stop by her and try them out. I know you won't be disappointed.

was out of town and looking for a different style of food to enjoy. This was a perfect spot. The owner is absolutely amazing. She is also the chef. Her customer service was exceptional. Educating us and teaching us about the food and suggesting perfect meals based on ourdesires and likes. You can tell she has poured her heart into this restaurant.
I had the octopus. Most places you go to with grilled octopus they will overcook it so it’s dry. This was cooked to perfection.
The hummus platter was absolutely spectacular with flavor. My partner had the lamb stew which he absolutely loved.
I’m disappointed that I did not get pictures of our entrées, but I did get a picture of the dessert which is the baklava.

The owner is a hoot, the food is fresh and delicious, everything is super clean and the tale away fridge is loaded with delicious goodies!

Must have! Fried artichoke, any of the humus and baklava of course!

Great new restaurant to check out! My mom went for lunch and then brought the family for dinner it was so enjoyable. My wife and her got the Sea Bream, while I got the chicken and Dad got shrimp skewers. The fish was cooked perfectly, and both our skewers were delicious too. We started with cashew hummus, which was very good and ended with a pistachio cake that was incredible. Light, flavorful, and delicate. I could eat that all day and I hate cake. Excited to go back and try other things.

This was the worst Turkish food I have ever had .I lived in Turkey for 2 and a half years and I know how beautiful ,fresh and delicious the food is . I ordered Turkish lentil soup and it was green and tasted like split pea soup, not the beautiful red lentil the Turkish are famous for. The bread was good but it was the only thing good. The tea was served in dollar tree coffee mugs with packets of sugar. I even have Turkish tea glasses here i American, it is an experience and the coffee mug ruined it. I may sound like a diva but if you ever had a real Turkish meal you would understand this meal was over $60 and we only liked the bread. If you know nothing about real Turkish cuisine you might like it.

My husband and stopped in today, we have not experienced such amazing, wonderful, tasty food down here in a very long time! Over the top DELICIOUS! The whipped feta and beets on pita, grape leaves were delicious, the calamari was soooo tender, tasty, crisp, fresh and succulent, with the really yummy basil sauce! The pistachio cake with mascarpone topping was over the top! Laurie, the owner/chef was the best! She explained how she makes everything from scratch, with the freshest, organic ingredients that are to die for! The service was superb, Emily was friendly, sweet, and very knowledgeable! Quite adorable actually! We will be back REAL soon!!! Thank you Laurie, Emily and Fig & Olive, a local gem!!!!?
