Store looks really nice after the recent remodel. Food is consistently great, I have been meaning to say something for a while. We have used them for catering jobs several times for 30-50 students and every time went flawlessly. Their grape leaves are my favorite.

The shawarma is so good, the staff are very nice and helpful. I think they resized the sandwiches. One sandwich now was more than enough for me.

I love this place! Been going here for years but do not live or work in area anymore but whenever I am in the area, this is my go to spot. They have the best Hummus and Shawarma around! No frills here just good shawarma!

I had a disappointing experience. The sandwich was subpar, lacking flavor and freshness. When I politely asked the staff if they could prepare it better, I was met with a dismissive attitude, which made the experience even worse. I expected a better response and customer service. Unfortunately, I won't be returning.

This was a fresh change from our regular Mediterranean place. The baklava was served two ways and I prefer the dry roll one which they did have. The gyro was very tasty and their sauce has a very distinctive and pleasant flavor and texture. The naan was huge and fresh.

Wonderful family atmosphere with great family operators. We will be back

I was so excited to return to this place now that I’m back in Houston. I am so disappointed. This place has gone downhill. The kibbeh was warmed up in the microwave and was very soft. It didn’t taste fresh at all. I ordered the small eggplant and it was served cold. The gyro sandwich was pretty awful. The meat seemed like it was frozen pieces from Costco. The tzatziki isn’t even homemade. It’s from a bucket. This was definitely a very disappointing visit. It’s nothing like it used to be to be. There is also water leaking from the ceiling with no bucket in sight. I will not be returning and that makes me pretty sad. The one star is for the customer service. The guy at the counter was friendly.

Loved the Falafel Sandwich and Side of Falafels. Delicious & flavorful, authentic taste, must try if you are in the area and craving Falafel. Will definitely come visit again. Great portion size and presentation. Owner seems to be friendly and accommodating. They have a outside patio seatings as well. Seems like new management and signs also say Alhawi restaurant.
